CantaloupesThoroughly washed before cutting. | 7 each |
Juice, 100 percent orange | 3 cups |
Sugar | 3/4 cup |
Ice, crushedAs needed |
Instructions
- Cut melons in half. Scoop out seeds, remove rinds and discard. Cut melons into 1-inch cubes.
- In a blender or food processor, blend melon cubes with 3½ cups orange juice.
- Pour puree into pitchers and stir with the remaining orange juice and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into glasses filled with crushed ice.

This makes a refreshing beverage to showcase locally grown cantaloupe, particularly at special school functions. Hold at 41° F or lower.
